No barriers. Just the next step forward.
Training at York Story is personal, deliberate and grounded in horsemanship. Every horse-and-rider partnership is different, so the program begins with understanding where they are today and where they want to go next.
Dani brings international competition experience together with a practical coaching approach designed to build confidence, skill and independence—without losing sight of the horse at the center of it all.
From developing fundamentals to preparing for the show ring, coaching is tailored to the individual. Dani works with riders across hunters and jumpers, helping each partnership develop the tools, confidence and feel required for the next level.
As a British Showjumping Level 2 Coach, her emphasis is on clear communication, strong foundations and lasting progression.
For horses in full training, York Story provides a program shaped around the individual horse: schooling, fitness, flatwork, jumping, show preparation and day-to-day development.
Dani's personal involvement allows training decisions to be made from first-hand knowledge of the horse, while owners remain closely connected to the process.
Training the horse and training the rider are not always the same task. An experienced horse that knows its job can become the best teacher for a developing rider, allowing the focus to sit primarily on the rider’s confidence, feel and technique. A greener horse may need the opposite: time, education and thoughtful development so it can reach its own potential. York Story builds progression plans by assessing both sides of the partnership individually—and then developing them together.
Jasper is the horse who gave Dani more firsts than any other. Their competition journey began at Bolesworth in the UK, jumping 0.85m, and developed all the way to FEI 3★ competition in Ocala, Florida—with almost every kind of step, ring and lesson in between.
That progression helped shape the York Story philosophy: build confidence, prepare thoughtfully and never underestimate what a partnership can become. Jasper’s journey is a reminder that every level matters—and every first can lead to the next.
York Story welcomes Spanish-speaking riders and students looking to train or compete Stateside.
Through our close working relationship with Venezuelan rider Juan Andres Larrazabal, programs can be supported in Spanish, allowing riders to communicate comfortably while focusing on the development of both horse and rider.
Spanish-language support can be incorporated into a tailored training or competition experience in Ocala and beyond.
